I am a Ukrainian-born art photographer based in Royston, UK. My work explores human presence, surrealism, and the subtle tension between reality and illusion through street photography and environmental portraiture.

I am drawn to moments when the familiar begins to shift. Through light, composition, structure and timing, I look for images that reveal something quieter and less obvious beneath the surface. I am interested in fleeting expressions, visual fragments, and the emotional undercurrents of everyday life.

Photography, for me, is a way of paying close attention. It allows me to slow down, look harder, and engage with the world honestly. I am not interested in simply documenting what is there, but in showing how perception shapes reality, and how an image can hold presence, ambiguity and silence at once.

Black-and-white photography is central to my practice. I see it not as the absence of colour, but as its deeper presence, a kind of transcendence. It brings me closer to structure, mood and the emotional depth of a moment.

Coming to photography from a background outside the arts, I am naturally drawn to structure, geometry and perspective. Together with a surreal artistic sensibility, this gives my work clarity, precision and intent.
